Its been a while...

It's been a while since I last blogged..Mainly because it kept telling my email/password to login on was wrong, and it wasnt. Sooo, heres an update on everything:
I've been at my new job for over two weeks now--everything is going good with it. There have been some long days, but I know that is to be expected. I finally got to meet the new doctor I will be working with. I've been learning the computer system, and all that fun stuff!

This weekend has been a good one. Friday night me and Will headed to MC to watch some Friday Night Football--we had a good time and enjoyed being with some friends. Saturday I spent time cleaning, and watched the Gamecocks snatch another victory!

Today me and my daddy went to church, then this afternoon we went and took my grandma out for her birthday. All the family was there, all 20 of us and we met at lizards thicket. My grandma enjoyed it so so much! The whole way back she kept telling me how much she enjoyed it and she was glad all the family was able to get together. We definitely need to do that more often with everyone. :)

Happy Halloween to everyone! Gotta get ready for all the trick or treaters :)

J-O-B

Sooo..today was the BIG day! I finally started my BIG girl job! :) First and foremost it was a good day! I love the office I'm at. The girls there are all so sweet and since I did my clinicals there for school, I already feel like I fit in with everyone. I just want to thank everyone for all their support and encouraging words.

Yesterday I had to meet at Self in Greenwood and as I was talking to the car I started thinking about my momma. (which is a daily occurance) I know she would be SO happy for me and of course so supportive as she always was. I couldnt help but wonder if she's been with me through this whole "journey" lately. When I got into the car and turned the radio to 89.7, "You Raise Me Up" started playing. Many of you know how much my mom LOVED that song! My cousin Stephen sang that at her funeral and everytime I hear that song now, I cant help but cry. As soon as I heard that song I knew she was with me and that she is proud. Theres sooooo much that has gone on that I wish she was here to witness and experience with me. I have met the most amazing person ever, and I know she would LOVE Will to pieces! I know shes happy knowing that I have a wonderul, supportive boyfriend who always brings a smile to my face. I graduated from college, passed my certification test, and now I'm a working girl. I know I couldnt have done any of this without her! I remember graduation day, Aunt Kathy told me on the way home that she knew momma was sitting on the basketball goal watching me walk across the stage, and she knew she was so proud of me. I woke up this morning with my momma on my mind. Anytime I had something big going on, she always made me such a yummy breakfast. I woke up wondering, "Hmmm, if momma were here, I wonder what she would have fixed me today" :) Basically, I just miss her like crazy, but I know shes proud of me and I'm so happy to know I will always have her with me in spirit! :)

What a wonderful weekend it has been!  God is good all the time, all the time, God is good! :)

BIG girl job :)

Well...the past couple weeks have been very stressful trying to figure out where I wanted to start work. I interviewed four times with Lexington, and absolutely loved one of the offices. Unfortunately, I was that office's first person to interview and they had several more applicants to meet with. My clinical site offered me a job, but I was very hesistant to take the offer due to a few reasons. But after receiving a call from the doctor there on Tuesday, I decided thats where I wanted to be. I fit in with everyone at the office, which is very important to me. So today I "accepted" the job there. I go to Greenwood on Monday and Wednesday for interviews, physicals, PPDs, and all that fun stuff! And I officially start work next Thursday!! :) Yay! I'm excited! I'm ready to begin my career so I can accomplish somethings for myself. I feel that with much prayer and support from all my family, this will be a good start for me! Yay for a my BIG girl job and YAY for all the many more exciting events that will be happening in the future :)

Weekend...

Ahhh, another weekend has officially come to an end! It always seems like they fly by and the weekdays dragggg by! Me and Will headed up to Clemson Saturday around lunch and stayed up there with his parents! We had a nice time of moving furniture, Will's cooking, Gamecock football, and simply enjoying each others company! Speaking of Gamecock football, I'm going to "vent" for a second...After the game last night I saw several posts from non-Gamecock fans about how we lost to Auburn...Well most of these posts (ok, all these posts) were from Clemson fans...I wish Carolina AND Clemson fans would stop with the trash talking considering BOTH teams LOST to Auburn! A loss is a loss no matter how you look at it, you can sit there and talk about stats if you want, but in the end it comes down to W or L...Both teams got the L, so quit with the trash talking and realize its ONLY a game! It truly makes a person look ignorant and their team of choice ignorant as well....But, this seems to happen after every game, I'm assuming its because of the Carolina/Clemson rivarly or maybe the SEC/ACC rivarly!

On to another note...I'm super excited to see what this week holds for me! Hopefully good things will come about...Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

...debbie downer kind of day...

Well today has been a very stressful/sad day! ...My beloved neighbor, who me and my sister have always considered a grandmother figure to us, went to be with the Lord this morning! Nannie was such a wonderful person! She had a smile that would light up a room, and a heart that was made of gold! I will miss her dearly but know she is in a better place...I will cherish all the memories of her always and forever! :)

Something new...

Well....I've always LOVED reading other people's blogs! But thanks to my friend, Heather, shes finally convinced me to make my own! So here it goes, I'll try to update as often as I can...Even if theres nothing "exciting" happening in my life, which normally there isnt much going on!

To sum up the past month, I've graduated college, took my certification (state boards) and passed those! Now I'm waiting for my "big girl" job to finally fall into place! It's been such a experience trying to get a job! Your fresh out of college and your degree is in the medical field, you would think it wouldnt be that hard to find a job?? Well, think again! They want you to have all this experience (which I completely understand) but its hard to gain experience when no one is willing to hire you "fresh" out of college! Sooooo, hopefully here within the next few weeks I will have everything figured out so I can start work and make some money! Until then, I'm still at the salon--if you want your hair did, come to Side Tracks :)

...I think thats about it for now! Time for bed so I can work tomorrow! Ready for this weekend in Clemson! It will be nice to get away for a couple days! :)
